 Marianne’s work at the University of Queensland covers international security (including a specialist Masters course on Arms Control and Disarmament), international organisations, international humanitarian law, human rights, and peace studies. She was Foundation Director of the Rotary Peace Centre at UQ. Marianne gained her Masters and Doctoral degrees from Oxford University, and taught at Magdalen College, Oxford before moving to UQ. Her research has been published in, inter alia, The Nonproliferation Review, Contemporary Security Policy, and International Relations. In addition to her academic work, Marianne works with various civil society groups, including WILPF (the Women’s International League for Peace and Security); she is currently Co-Chair of ICAN Australia, and is a member of the Asia-Pacific Leadership Network.
